Lexington County Administrative offices are open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

Residential Plan Review

Plans for residential development in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County are initially submitted to the Community Development Department and then forwarded to Public Works’ for review.
• All plans submitted must include every item listed on the Checklist for Residential Development found in the Lexington County Land Development Manual.  (PDF)
• The NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Large & Small Construction Activities (NOI) application must be included with the construction drawings along with appropriate County and DHEC fees. Plans will not be reviewed until appropriate fees are paid in full.

Once reviewed and approved, the Land Development Division will provide the necessary documentation to DES. Work cannot begin on your site until your site is covered under the NPDES General Permit.

When the Lexington County Land Development Division receives notice of coverage under the NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Large & Small Construction Activities, a County Land Disturbance Permit can be issued.
