The pre-employment testing process consist of the following areas of examination and evaluation:
• Written examination
• Physical agility testing
• Oral Board Interview
• Medical Exam
• Background check
A detailed explanation of the pre-employment testing can be located within the Recruit Handbook.
Upon approval of a candidate’s written application, the candidate will be notified when to report for pre-employment testing. The candidate must complete all pre-employment testing successfully to be considered for hire.
Upon hire, the candidate will be given a start date for the Lexington County Fire Service Recruit Program and must successfully complete the program.
